Important Points to Note

The test and sample should be kept at room temperature (10°C-30°C) before and during taking the test.
After collecting the sample the test should be performed immediately.
Don’t leave your sample at room temperature for long periods of time.

Reading Your Results

Important

Read your results within 15 minutes of taking the test.

Positive

Two coloured lines can be seen in the testing cartridge, one in the control (C) area and one in the test (T) area. The line in the test (T) area may vary in colour from pale red to dark red. Any shade of red is considered positive.

Negative

One coloured line can be seen in the testing cartridge in the control (C) area. No coloured line at all will be seen in the test (T) area.

Invalid

No coloured lines will be seen in the testing cartridge OR only one coloured line can be seen in the test (T) area and no line in the control (C) area. If this happens take a second test with a new testing kit. If the second test is invalid please contact us, quoting your lot numbers.

Step 1

Unpack all the test components and lay them down on a clean flat surface, checking the expiry date on the test.

Step 2

Twist the cap off the lancet and place it on a clean surface.

Step 3

Rub the finger you will be taking the sample from for 20 seconds to increase blood flow. We recommend taking the sample from a finger on your non-dominant hand (so if you are right-handed, take the sample from your left hand).

Step 4

Open the sterile alcohol wipe and use it to clean the finger you will be taking the sample from.

Step 5

Place the hand you will be taking the sample from on a flat surface with the palm facing up.

Step 6

Place the sharp end of the lancet on the tip of the cleaned finger and press down to draw blood.

Step 7

Rub your finger around the lancet prick to create a large drop of blood.

Step 8

Squeeze 2 drops of blood from your finger into the sampling well of the test cartridge.

Step 9

Twist off the top of the test buffer solution bottle and add one drop to the sampling well of the test cartridge, on top of the blood.

Step 10

Set a timer for 15 minutes and read your results within those 15 minutes.

Step 11

Read your results in the window section of the test cartridge, with lines appearing in the control (C) area and/or the test (T) area. Please see the Reading Your Results section to understand your results.
